Description: Rare, highly collectible, mint condition cicim used by Sufis. Undyed ivory wool, multicolored extra-weft brocading in tiny boteh motifs, with cypress trees at niches. Fringed at bottom (actual top) and sides. These are used in Sufi ceremonies and have symbolic meanings. Rarely come on the market. Weaving no longer done in Keçimusini, which was one of the first areas of Christian converts in Anatolia.
